June - July
9am - 4pm
Ages 9-12 and 12-15. Registration opens in February and runs through June. This is a one-week camp (with multiple sessions) held in June and July of each year. Hours are 9am - 4pm.
Kids learn skills in first aid, CPR and ocean safety skills, as well as how to use lifeguard equipment like rescue tubes, kayaks, and paddleboards. This camp will be held at the lifeguard station from 9am-4pm, so campers will be able to view how professional lifeguards handle beach emergencies and day-to-day operations.
The program trains young people to get a job as a lifeguard when they turn sixteen years old. Not all Jr. Lifeguards become Lifeguards, but the experiences can be invaluable.
