Week 1: June 9 – 14. Held at Riverside Park United Methodist Church, 819 Park St.
Week 2: June 16 – 21. Held at Hendricks Ave Baptist Church, 4001 Hendricks Ave.

Opportunity for students of all ages and abilities to learn and enjoy playing music in small groups. All participants must have studied their instrument for at least one year and be able to demonstrate a minimum ability to read music.

Special event in Week 1: International prize-winning Dover String Quartet in residency for 2 days of master classes and a special evening concert on June 10! Participation in the Intensive track requires submitted audition recording and application by March 15.

There will be three tracks of study for both weeks:

Primary Track: For first-timers or those who are younger or not quite ready for the pace of our Prelude Track camp experience. Camp day is from 9am – 1pm & offers instruction in ensemble playing, individual coaching as needed, musical games, and daily special events.

Prelude Track: Campers must be at least 8 years old and demonstrate an ability to read music and perform music from at least Book 2 of Suzuki (or equivalent) at the placement auditions. Camp day is from 9am -3pm & offers orchestra, theory class, small ensemble coaching, musical electives, & daily special events.

Intensive Track: For advanced students interested in tackling serious works from the chamber music literature. Enrollment will be by invitation based on recordings submitted with application. Camp day is from 9am – 4pm & offers music coaching, daily special events, time for independent rehearsing, and one elective.

General application deadline is April 4, after which you may still register until the end of April , but you must pay a $50 late fee. Cost varies according to the track of study and number of weeks attending (campers may enroll for either or both weeks) and includes tuition, music copies, camp t-shirt, insurance, snacks, drinks (lunch is not provided), special events, and master classes. Scholarships (full & partial) are available based upon accomplishment and/or need. Requests may be made for financial assistance on the application.
