Father's H.a.r.b.o.r. Academy's camp is for ages 5 through 17 years old. Camp classes include recording arts, visual arts, music classes such as choir, guitar, piano, also performing arts classes in dance and drama. Fun games and hands on projects will allow children to experience the arts in a structured, and safe environment! Campers will make new friends and feel good about themselves as they grow socially, spiritually, and academically!
We will prepare your child for the next school year! Summer school assistance will be available in all math and reading levels.
Student will learn to work in teams, get along with others, and appreciate each other's talents as they realize that they were created by God for a purpose and discover talent that they didn't know they had!

July 15 - 19: Free Range Animation
9am - 2pm. Ages 10 and up. Students will need to bring an iphone or ipad with ios 5 or higher. Want to learn how to animate? You can use anything - legos, stick figures, your friends. You can animate anywhere - inside the classroom, outside in the yard, from the backseat of your mom's car. This workshop explores creating your own stories using stop motion and 2D animation techniques. Students will brainstorm, storyboard, develop characters and narratives, fabricate their characters from found objects, then create their films using iPhone/iPads and various free animation apps.

July 22 - 26: Construction Art
9am - 2pm. Ages 9 and up.This workshop, taught by well-known sculptor Jesse Nolan, is all about designing and constructing three dimensional art. Design and build a model house out of balsa wood, plaster and found objects, and/or build a portrait or figure out of items like wood and foam board.

Travel to Thneedville and mold a look alike Lorax or create a cool clay character from the movie Croods. Kids will re-invent popular movies and books during this fun fantasy camp.

Mix and splatter paint, recreate your own Starry Starry Night, or design a Pop art poster. Young

Go (coco) NUTS painting indigenous Caribbean creatures or making a model boat out paper Mache. Our worldly art instructor will take young artists on a guided geography jaunt overseas.
July 22 - 26: Eco-Geckos
Get with the green scene and create super-sized sculptures, found-object animals, or mosaic masterpieces with recycled relics.
July 29 - August 2: Hodge Podge
Create Calder’s whimsical wire sculpture or Dali’s dangling clock paintings in this mixed-media camp week. Campers will experience a different artist and a different type of media daily.
August 5 - 9: Nature Trail
Young artists will bring the outdoors indoors and create wildly imaginative projects with earthy items like leaves for printmaking, sand for portraits, or sea shell sculptures.
August 12 - 16 : Scribbling Siblings and Painting Pals
9am - 12pm. Sign-up your favorite friend or your big sis for an art week you won’t want to miss. The Cultural Center’s instructors will use a variety of media to bring out the imagination in this dueling duo camp. Children will be divided by age groups but will remain in the same studio.

Dancers who want to excel at tricks and gain a competitive edge should definitely sign up for this camp. It is structured for beg/int ages 8-11 and int/Adv ages 12 and older. Previous training in ballet and/or jazz is recommended. Students should wear dancewear and bring ballet or jazz shoes.
July 8-12 - ART CAMP - 10am-2pm
Capture your inner Monet! Try paining with acrylics and watercolors, sketching, charcoal, pastels, sculpture, multi-media art and more! Recommended for ages 7-11. Wear clothes you can get messy and bring a bag lunch.
July 15-19 - TUMBLING CAMP - 10am-2pm
This camp is a favorite for those students who love to jump, flip, and roll! Recommended age group is 7-11 or 12+. Students will learn at their own pace learning skills such as somersaults, cartwheels, walkovers, round-offs, ariels and hand springs.

Lavilla School of the Arts Summer Camp

Cost: $125-$175/week
Ages 3 - 17. Campers are allowed to take classes in a variety of areas. New this year is "Blast Off" Science where kids will learn about rocketry, aeronautics and robotics. Also new this year is the Explorers Camp for 5 & 6 year olds. These little campers will spend their days visiting other camp areas as well as enjoying their own activities. Favorites like "Top Chef" Science(where kids learn about,prepare and eat healthy snacks) and Historical Reenactment(where campers role play famous events and battles from history)return.
Film is also back as the only intensive camp while Instrumental Camp allows campers to take classes in piano, guitar and percussion. This year in our Instrumental Camp, campers taking three consecutive weeks can audition into our new Rock Band. Also this year, Drama Campers will be rotating through a variety of theatre techniques as well as circus and musical theatre. Dance offers class rotations in hip hop, breakdancing, modern,contemporary, jazz and ballet. Visual Art Camp is for the serious art student while Arts & Crafts Camp is designed for the kid who like to make things. Comics is directed at kids who want to combine storytelling with their own comic illustrations.
Jr. Counselors camp teaches rising 9th and 10th grades to be camp conselors. Volunteer oportunities are available for former campers who have successfully completed Jr Counselors Camp in a previous year. Storytellors Camp now accepts 3 year olds.
We also serve the Federal Summer Lunch/ Snack Program so all campers can eat lunch for FREE. Fridays are Friday Fundays. Kids go Downtown on fieldtrips or stay at school and play. Older campers can swim at Jefferson Street pool and younger ones get wet in our own water play area.
