Sensory Friendly Films

AMC Entertainment (AMC) and ASA have teamed up to bring families affected by autism and other disabilities a special opportunity to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment on a monthly basis with the "Sensory Friendly Films" program. All showing are at 10am.

Jacksonville Miracle League
This league provides opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to play baseball, regardless of their abilities. The field was specifically designed for wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches in mind. The entire field is a synthetic rubber turf with coloring for grass, clay, bases, and chalk lines.
Spring season is from 2nd/3rd weekend in March until last weekend of May. Fall season is from 3rd/4th weekend of September until the end of November. Games are every Saturday morning starting at 9am at McGirts Creek Regional Park. We accept Player Registrations all year at the park, on our websit,e or in the mail. Players and buddies are invited to sign up.

Jax Zoo "A Touching Experience" Classroom Program
The Jacksonville Zoo This program is designed for groups with “special needs.” Multi-sensory encounters with a variety of animals may be tailored for each group. Emphasis is placed on a respect for animals by creating a positive, hands-on experience. Programs last 45 minutes and may be scheduled Mon-Fri at 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, & 12:30pm. Up to 35 people. $30 per class (zoo admission not included). Reserve at least 4 weeks in advance by calling 904-757-4463, ext 122.
