The Katie Ride is a premier bicycle touring event catering to cyclists of all abilities. The Katie Ride takes place on Amelia Island, Florida with routes covering 18 to 100 mile courses, off-road options, a walk and fun run, and a fun triathlon. The event was created in 2005 to raise awareness for organ donation and support the Katie Caples Foundation nationally recognized organ donor education program. Minimum fundraising requirements in addition to registration fees are associated with all events. Participants under the age of 18 are not required to fundraise. Registration fees start at $50.
Katie Ride – The Katie Ride features routes of 100 miles, 63 miles, 34 miles, 18 miles and an off-road ride through Fort Clinch.
Katie Walk & Fun Run – Both the Walk and Fun Run are routed through Egans Creek Greenway and courses over uneven trails and paths.
Katie Fun Mini Tri – A new option includes a fun, non-timed triathlon. Start with a 300 yard swim in the Atlantic Recreation Center pool, then the 18 mile road ride and finish with a 5K run through Egan’s Creek.
